Residents are proactive conservancy partners

Residents hold the deed to the 169 acre preserve in trust with the Carolina Mountain Land Conservancy.

The Carolina Mountain Conservancy offers many additional opportunities for residents to get involved by leading hikes and arranging community speaking engagements. Active or retired professionals in many fields such as financial or marketing are also needed.

The Conservancy is also a member of the Land Trust Alliance and Conservation Trust of North Carolina, both of which offer residents additional venues and ways to be active stewards in the area's overall conservancy mission.
